City Pier of Green Cove Springs is a 500’ pier located on the west side of the St. Johns River in downtown Green Cove Springs. In this Green Cove Springs fishing spot you can catch bass, catfish and a variety of other freshwater fish. It is also not unusual for saltwater species to run this far south of the St. Johns River. Redfish and Trout have been reported this far south of the St. Johns River. When the shrimp run in the St. Johns River, this spot can produce some good numbers. This fishing pier also offers some good shade under the pavilion and enough room to fishing comfortably. One of the cool things about this fishing pier is that is located near Spring Park which has restrooms, playgrounds, and picnic areas for the kids.
