There are so many prime spots in Jacksonville for fishing, that it’s almost hard NOT catching something! The main thing that stands out in Jacksonville is the St. John’s River. What a wonderful resource we have at our disposal. The St. John’s River is so long that it gives the option of both saltwater and freshwater fishing. Closer to the Atlantic Ocean you can expect Trout, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder and a wide variety of other Inshore saltwater fish. As the river turns from brackish to fresh, Specks (Crappie), Largemouth Bass, and Catfish can be found. There’s really a lot to offer for anyone who love’s fishing in Jacksonville!
